Chaos Sealed is a variant of Sealed Deck; the Chaos element comes in when you choose the product
used to build your deck.
Each Magic set is assigned a point value, ranging from 0 for Chronicles to 5 for Tempest.
You have 15 points to use, and must choose exactly 5 booster "sets".
(A set is one 15- or 12-card booster, or two 8-card boosters.)
Land is a precious resource; you only get 5 of each basic land (four regular, one snow-covered).
Chaos Sealed is typically played for ante; having limited land makes the ante loss of a land from your primary color a truly
devastating blow. During deckbuilding, you may find yourself agonizing over difficult choices - like whether
to save that game-breaking rare you need for your collection, or play it and risk losing it.
Like other limited formats, you build a deck of at least 40 cards. Unlike typical sealed deck,
you can't add as much land as you want - just the 5 of each that you began with, plus any you were
lucky enough to open.
If you don't spend all 15 points on your boosters, you can get extra basic land (1 point each).
Sound interesting? Sound like fun? (It is!) Simple, too.
And just maybe, the best Magic format of all!
Note that we don't recommend use of Portal or Unglued; Unhinged shows signs of playability,
and has already proven to be more powerful than even Fifth Dawn!
